About Colour Therapy Success Story using Feng Shui & Colour -Northern Computers, Kelowna Other Publications
About Colour TherapyThe healing power of colour Although there are many affective
forms of therapy in existence, colour therapy has and is being used more and more by society. Because the vibrations have
been measured and recorded by scientists there is a validity of the energy available from colour.
There are obviously many ways of
using colour effectively, whether to alter moods generally, to harmonise buildings or to heal specific problems etc. What is colour? Colour
is fragmented light and part of the visible portion of the electromagnetic spectrum. Light is a form of electromagnetic
radiation, just as are radio and TV waves, microwaves, infra-red and ultraviolet rays. What we perceive
as colour is only a very small proportion of this spectrum but each of the rainbow colours has a measured and scientifically
recorded band of vibration. The rainbow of colours we know as visible light has a wavelength band between 400 and
700 billionths of a meter.
The Rainbow There have been many debates and discussions in the past regarding whether the rainbow is made up of 6 or 7 colours. Isaac Newton in the 17th century
perceived that there were 7 colours but Goethe in the
18th century identified 6 colours.
HOW AND WHY COLOUR EFFECTS US
If we look at colour not just visually as most people do everyday, but as energy, we
begin to have a better understanding.
We are made up of energy, vibrating at different rates. Our physical body is just energy in form, which we can physically see and touch
but our energy field is much bigger. All of us are attracted to
the energy we need and just as we need to eat food when we are hungry, we automatically absorb the energies we need from other sources. By applying the colour energies that we are drawn to, we are absorbing
or ‘eating’ the energy ‘food’
needed to balance our selves and create well being.
However, because of the knowledge attached to each colour vibration we are able to understand why we have imbalances and therefore look deeply at ourselves, our lives and what
surrounds us.
As stated previously we work with colour information relating to the mind and consciousness or 'inner self'.
Very briefly just to give a 'taste' of what the rainbow colours mean, here’s an overview
about each colour:
Red relates to power and our
physical health and body, life, work, money, foundations and our energy and drive to live. We need red when we feel exhausted, frustrated, impatient, angry,
hurt jealous
and keep pushing ourselves too hard
Orange
relates to
being practical, creative, having vitality and humour and leadership qualities.
We need orange when we are out of alignment, have experienced shock or trauma,
or want to release
our buried emotions or feel others are manipulating us.
Yellow relates to happiness,
clarity of thought and comprehension. It relates to having confidence, understanding, and perception. We are attracted to yellow when we are
sad, confused, lack self responsibility, are fearful, anxious and nervous.
Green
This is about
truth and freedom to be our real self. Being balanced and open
hearted and in tune with nature. We need green when we feel trapped
and restricted from
expressing our real self, when we need time and space and when we feel envious.
Blue This relates to absorbing knowledge and
information from all sources. Consciousness, feelings, trust, discipline, boundaries and patterns of existence relate to blue. When we are rigid and have limited thinking
and find it hard to make decisions, and feel down and 'blue', we need blue!
Violet
This is about
healing, change and transformation. When we need to be motivated or are single minded. We need violet when we want to know
answers about life and our purpose, when we have mood swings and cannot sleep.

2009 by the numbers works out to a 'Eleven master year so make wise decisions, which
breaks down to a two, time to share and suppoert everyone you connect with.one year' which means new beginnings and starts,
also good year to set some commonsense GOALS for the next 9 years. More good fortune: add red in your home decor, accessories and dress
It may require a great deal of effort this year
to resist going off on wild goose chases. Refrain from making speculative ventures. Disappointments and conflicts will result.
The OX likes to flaunt his authority and a lot of trouble can come from his domineering attitude. But since he also symbolizes
the good administrator and conscientious overseer of justice in the barnyard, the peace will be kept. Everything will be precariously
balanced in the Rooster's year, as his dramatic personality can set off all kinds of petty disputes. This
year we may have to expend maximum gain. Try not to fuss too much. Details do need looking into, but don't forget to view
the whole picture. Be cautious. Do not aim too high. One is liable to get shot down.
Politics will adhere to hard-line policies. The diplomatic scene will
be dominated by Philosophical orators who rave a lot about nothing (nothing new -ha) Governments will be found flexing
their muscles at each other, but just for show. There may be no real confrontations. It is just that everyone will be too
occupied with himself to hear or care what the other person is saying. The self-conscious influence of the Rooter will cause
us to take offense at the smallest slight. We will tend to be terribly ostentatious about the splendid image we think we project.
Dissensions and debates on all fronts will signify the Rooster's pen-chant for argumentative exercises and will not be
likely to do permanent damage to anyone when taken in the right context.
Just keep your eyes open and your mouth shut and check facts and figures before
making unprecedented moves. We should all get by without too much hardship. Our pockets will not be empty although our nerves
may be a bit frayed. So
eat a balanced diet and do lots of walking and singing/chanting. Have a wonderful year! It is up to us how we react to the
challenges life gives us. So go for it, I wish you all the best for 2009/10

– Kelowna Bank Manager
At a silent auction of a business function I attended, I saw Jollean's Book and a Gift Certificate for a
free consultation in Feng Shui. I bid on it and won. Having moved to Kelowna from Vancouver with my Bank, I of
course was very familiar with Feng Shui. Our Branch was going through renovations and upon completion I invited Jollean
to the branch. Even though we were restricted on making any color changes, she gave us suggestions to work with what
we had. Most of my staff was not familiar with Feng Shui and I think they actually thought I was a little "out
there", but they quickly became interested in what Jollean had to say. We now have wind chimes and crystals around
the branch.
Following Jollean's suggestions, I made some minor changes in my office and
I continue to get comments from my clients about how comfortable my office is. One of my new staff had a small water
feature in her office and was hesitant to turn it on. The very day she finally decided to plug it in, she landed a very
valuable new client! She never unplugged it for the whole time she was at our branch! One of my CSRs was suffering
from headaches, so I gave her a rose quartz stone to place at the base of her terminal and the headaches are gone.
I have personally attended one of Jollean's workshops on Feng Shui in order to apply the Feng Shui principals
in my home as well
